Since it was founded in 1918, the Kunsthalle Bern has grasped itself as a location for the production, presentation, and communication of contemporary art. The Kunsthalle Bern offers visitors the opportunity to deal with aesthetic and social questions in a variety of ways and closely engage with current issues. The exhibitions and event programs are made possible with the support of its members.

With a membership, you support the exhibitions and works which the artists often create specifically for the Kunsthalle Bern. Thanks to your commitment, we can continue to implement an exciting, experimental, and internationally significant program and make an important contribution to promoting young artists.

Through their support, members and patrons enable the continued existence of this renowned art institution. At the annual members’ meetings, you are eligible to vote, you can discuss important issues and obtain exciting insights into the projects of the Kunsthalle Bern.

As a member of the Kunsthalle Bern, you enjoy attractive benefits and experience art from up close. Each year, you receive an artistically designed membership card granting free admission to the Kunsthalle Bern and 21 further institutions of contemporary art in Switzerland. You additionally receive invitations to our shows by mail and can purchase publications and editions at a reduced price.
